`Whether Prime Minister can seek vote on an official visit’- responding such question Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said that no one sought commission’s attention in this regard before. It will be enquired. After announcing the election schedule, we will see if anyone violates the code of conduct.

He said this to media in a press conference on Monday (September 18).

CEC said that if someone's behavior is biased during the election, the Election Commission will definitely take action. We are monitoring the overall situation. This measure will be taken for the sake of public trust, for the sake of elections.

In response to the questions of the journalists, he said that the District Commissioners perform important duties in the elections. So there should not be any bias in the behavior. That is why the Election Commission has written a letter to take action against Jamalpur’s Deputy Commissioner.
