Today is the 52nd birthday of the late hero of Dhakai cinema Salman Shah.

Salman Shah was born on September 19, 1971 in Zakiganj, Sylhet. Although his family name is Shahriar Chowdhury Emon, he was only known as Salman Shah on the silver screen. Shahriar Chowdhury Emon the eldest son of father Kamaruddin Chowdhury and mother Nilufar Zaman Chowdhury, became Salman Shah in 1993 while acting in his debuting movie 'Keyamot Theke Keyamot'.

This hero died at a very young age of only 25 on September 6, 1996. Even after so many years of death, this actor still holds a place in the hearts of his fans. Fans still remember the beloved actor on his birthday.

In just four years he acted in total 27 films. Time is not enough to become a star by winning the hearts of all audiences and critics. About ten of these remained unfinished. He managed to make his place in the minds of the audience from the first film 'Keyamot Theke Keyamot' and titled as the best hero of the 90’s decade.

He had his presence not only on the big screen, but also on the small screen. Several of his plays on television also became popular. Salman was also known as a singer. He had great interest in arts and culture from his childhood. Everyone in his circle of friends knew him as a singer. In 1986, he passed Palligiti (Folk Music) from Chayanot.

Some of the movies starring Salman Shah are Keyamot Theke Keyamot, Tumi Amar, Ontore Ontore, Sujon Sokhi, Bikkhov, Den Mohor, Bichar Hobe, Ei Ghor Ei Sangsar, Ananda Asru. However, every movie he starred in, was a commercial success.
