Several cricketers and franchise officials have been accused of corruption in the Abu Dhabi T-Ten League. Bangladesh's allrounder Nasir Hossain is also among them.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has launched an investigation into the incident on behalf of the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB). Apart from Nasir, Krishan Kumar Chowdhury who is one of the partners of a franchise has been accused in this incident.
Besides, another franchise partner, Parag Sanghvi, batting coach Ashar Zaidi, domestic cricketer Rizwan Javed, Cilia Saman and assistant coach Shadab Ahmed have been accused.
Nasir has been charged with violating three anti-corruption clauses. Nasir could not produce a receipt for a $750 gift. Along with that, Nasir failed to provide full details of an invitation as per the ICC Code of Conduct. He even failed to cooperate with the ICC investigation.
