Khaleda Zia Taken To CCU Again

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been taken to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU)  again due to her deteriorating physical condition.

Khaleda Zia, who was undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in Bashundhara in the capital, suddenly felt short of breath and was shifted from the cabin to the CCU. She was taken to the CCU around 12 noon today, Friday (September 22).

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's press wing member Shamsuddin Didar confirmed the matter.

Earlier last Sunday (September 17), Khaleda Zia's physical condition deteriorated while undergoing treatment at the hospital, and she was shifted from the hospital cabin to the CCU around 1:30 am.

Former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia is suffering from various physical complications apart from heart problem, liver cirrhosis. He has had many complications including arthritis, diabetes, dental and eye problems for many years. After coming out of prison, she was admitted to the hospital several times for treatment. Khaleda Zia's angiogram in June last year revealed three blocks in her heart. A ring is worn on one of them.

It is to be noted that Khaleda Zia was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital due to physical illness on August 9. Since then she is under treatment in the hospital.
