The district branch of the BCS General Education Association called for the fulfillment of six demands by holding a press conference in Narsingdi. This press conference was held at the Narsingdi Government College conference room on Tuesday afternoon.

It was also informed that the BCS General Education Association held press conferences across the country on the same demand.

BCS General Education Association Narsingdi district branch president Professor Siraj Uddin Bhuiyan highlighted the demands in a written statement at the press conference. Among these demands are—the protection of cadre composition, promotion, creation of posts, scale upgradation, removal of inter-cadre disparity, and introduction of career-based ministries. If these demands are not met, a strike is announced on October 2. Despite this, if the demand is not accepted, the teachers of the BCS general education cadre have warned of a strike for three consecutive days from October 10.

BCS General Education Association Narsingdi General Secretary Abdul Halim, Narsingdi Government College Principal Professor Mostak Ahmed, Shibpur Government Shaheed Asad College Vice Principal Nasima Akhter, Narsingdi Government Women's College Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Suhrawardy, Narsingdi Government College Assistant Professor Sakhawat Hossain Lablu and Half a hundred teachers from various districts' government colleges were present at the press conference.
