4 lives lost after collision two buses in Mymensingh

Four people were killed and 10 injured when a bus ran over them at Chelerghat in Trishal on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway. This accident happened on Wednesday (October 11) around 8 am.

Trishal Police Station chief Main Uddin confirmed the information.

A bus operated by SS Travels experienced a tyre puncture, leaving its passengers to wait for a replacement bus, he said. As the stranded passengers of Rasel Spinning Mills Ltd. workers were boarding the replacement bus, a third bus struck it from behind.

Police are working to identify the three men and one woman who died in the incident. Meanwhile Trishal Fire Service Station Officer Sadekur Rahman said that three men and one woman were among the dead.

The injured passengers have been taken to Mymensingh College Hospital for treatment, according to Sadekur Rahman, an officer at the Trishal fire service station.

Traffic was temporarily disrupted following the accident, but it has since returned to normal, he said.
