International climate scientist Saleemul Huq passed away. He died on Sunday. His death was confirmed on the International Center for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) Facebook page. However, nothing has been said in detail about when and how this famous scientist died.

"It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you that our Director Professor Saleemul Huq passed away on October 29," the ICCSAD page said.

The page also said, "He is a visionary leader who has not only been the torchbearer of Bangladesh's fight against climate change, but his unparalleled work for the entire global community will be a shining example for years and generations to come."

Saleemul Huq was born in 1952. He was named one of the top 10 most influential scientists in 2022 by the science journal Nature. Saleemul Huq is basically a plant biologist. Until his death, he was the director of the International Center for Climate Change and Development in Dhaka.

Saleemul Huq grew up in various parts of Europe, Africa, and Asia. Due to his father's diplomatic transfer, he had the opportunity to experience various places from an early age. He was awarded the Burtney Award in 2007 in recognition of his research on climate change.
