The lowest temperature has been recorded in Dhaka this winter season. Confirming the matter, meteorologist Md Omar Farooq of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department said that the lowest temperature of the season was recorded in Dhaka on Monday (January 22) morning at 12.3 degrees Celsius.

Dhaka's minimum temperature was 14.4 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.1 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours. The maximum temperature was 27.6 degrees Celsius in Teknaf.

Meanwhile, due to severe winter, authorities in various districts of the country have announced the closure of all primary and secondary schools.

All primary and secondary schools in Naogaon, Natore, Pabna, Nilphamari, and Lalmonirhat districts have been declared closed as the temperature dropped below 10 degrees Celsius.

It should be noted that if the temperature falls below 10 degrees Celsius, the Directorate of Primary Education and the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education decided to announce the closure of all primary and secondary school activities in the respective districts.
