Pitha Utsav was held at the University of Scholars last Friday (January 26) to introduce the new generation to the Bengali culture and preserve the tradition.

Students of various academic years including Administration, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, and Alumni Association decorated the stalls with hand-made Pitha. Flower Basket, Dudh Pakan Pitha, Padmavati Pitha, Bau Sundari Pitha, Kuli Pitha, Hradayaharan Pitha, Mera Pitha, Pata Pitha, Gokul Pitha, Coconut Pitha, Falahar, Atikka, Brownie, Nakshi Pitha, Jhinuk Pitha, Rose Pitha, Beni Pitha, Coconut Puli. There were about 100 types of Pitha including egg Pitha, Patisapta, Jhal Pitha, Chitai, Vapa, and Banana Pitha in the stalls of the students.

The University campus (Building-2) was decorated with colorful decorations around the festival. In addition to the students of the University of Scholars, the Pitha Utsav turned into a reunion fair with the participation of teachers and students of various departments, and members of the University's Alumni Association. 

The event was attended by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Enamul Bashar, Prof. Dr. Mamunur Rashid (Acting Vice-Chancellor), BOT Member Abdul Haseeb Siddique, Registrar Captain Mobashwer Ali Khandaker, Additional Director (Finance) Md. Golam Mostafa, Assistant Director (PR & EA) Md. Abul Bashar, Assistant Director (Administration) Md. Zahurul Haque, Assistant Registrar Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Head of Business Department SM Nahidul Islam, Salehin Mahbub, and others.
