Bangladesh U-19 team defeated Nepal by five wickets in their first Super Six Group 1 match of the ongoing ICC U-19 Men’s World Cup at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein on Wednesday.

With this, the Bangladesh team has kept alive their semifinal hopes.

Nepal managed 169 runs in 49.5 overs with the loss of all wickets.  In the replay, Bangladesh reached 170-5 in just 25.2 overs.

In-form batsman Ariful Islam struck an unbeaten 59 runs while opener Jishan Alam made 55 runs.

Nepal’s Subash Bhandari took all five wickets in Bangladesh's innings.
