The Bangladesh Bank has announced an 11-point roadmap to reduce defaulted loans. A customer who does not make regular loan repayments will be marked as a willful defaulter.

These defaulters will be deprived of various benefits. They will not be able to buy new land, houses, cars, or even open a new business.

This decision was taken in the meeting of the board of directors of Bangladesh Bank on Sunday (February 4). Bangladesh Bank Governor Abdur Rauf Talukder presided over the meeting.
