Some revisions are coming in various textbooks of classes VI to IX. However, the much-discussed-criticized 'Sharifa's Tale' in the seventh-grade history and social science book remains. Also, some chapters of science books of different classes are changing.

These decisions were taken in a meeting of the senior officials of the Ministry of Education with Education Minister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury Nowfel at the International Mother Language Institute in the capital on Monday (February 5) afternoon.

Regarding 'Sharifa's Tale', Chairman of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) Professor Md. Farhadul Islam said that the story is being re-written. However, he did not give the details of how much will be re-written.

The NCTB chairman said, "A coordination committee consisting of an evaluation system and curriculum headed by an additional secretary of the ministry has been formed to review all the books identify mistakes, and correct them. They will recommend the committee. I hope to get the recommendation of the committee by next March and can deliver it to the field level soon."

Meanwhile, in a meeting of the Ministry of Education last Saturday, it was decided to form a coordination committee regarding the evaluation system and curriculum. It was decided to form this committee in a review meeting related to curriculum and textbook distribution and improvement in the meeting room of the Ministry under the chairmanship of Education Minister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury Nowfel. Representatives of NCTB, representatives of various departments under the Ministry, and representatives of boards will be members of this committee.
