Error In Signal System: Metrorail Not Running As Per Schedule

Due to a malfunction in the signaling system of the Metro Rail trains are running late. Since Thursday morning (February 15), disruptions have occurred in train operations due to this issue.

According to the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited, after starting operations in the morning, the problem was observed after four trips. Although the Metro Rail operations have not been halted due to the signaling system issue, there are delays in train services. This issue will be resolved promptly.

Moreover, passengers have been inconvenienced by the irregular operation of the Metro Rail. Even SSC examinees had to wait on the platforms.

Nasir Uddin Ahmed, the Operations and Maintenance Manager of the Metro Rail, informed us that there was a problem in the signaling system which has been rectified later.

Several passengers at the Kazi Para station complained that despite going to the Metro Rail platform, they couldn't board the trains. Relevant authorities have advised them to use alternative transportation to reach their destinations.
