The weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours begins from 9 am today.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at one or two places over the Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Sylhet divisions.

Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during late night to early morning, the forecast added.

The country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded at 32.0 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda and today's minimum temperature of 11.3 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.

Night temperature may rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius and day temperature may fall slightly over the country.

A trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas. Seasonal low lies over the South Bay.

The sun sets at 05.57 pm today and rises at 06.28 am tomorrow in the capital.
