JU Admission Test Begins

The admission test of Jahangirnagar University (JU) for the 2023-24 academic session began today.

The one-hour test of A unit with Mathematical and Physical Science faculty and the Institute of Information Technology started at 9.00 am.

The admission test for C and C1 units will be held on February 25 while the test for D unit is scheduled for February 27 and 28. The entry test for B, E, and IBA-JU Unit will be held on February 29.

This year, a total of 1,97,491 admission seekers are contesting for 1,844 seats. Around 108 admission seekers will vie for each seat.

However, the D unit (Biological Sciences faculty) received the most applications, 69,416, among all the faculties.

JU Proctor ASM Firoz-ul-Hasan said: "All kinds of precautionary measures have been taken to finish the tests without any anomalies."

Earlier, JU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Md Nurul Alam visited several exam centers.

Calculators, mobile phones and electronic devices are prohibited in the examination halls.
