The Election Commission (EC) has published the final list of 50 candidates whose nominations are valid for the reserved seats for women in the current Parliament.

Today, Tuesday (February 27), the relevant gazette was published.

Earlier on Sunday (February 25), the EC declared 50 women candidates unopposed as no candidates withdrew their nomination papers.

It is to be noted that since Monday is a public holiday, the relevant gazette will be published on Tuesday, the returning officer (joint secretary) Muniruzzaman Talukdar told the media.

He said that the nomination papers of all 50 candidates in the reserved women's seats of the 12th National Parliament have been declared valid. February 25 was the last day for the withdrawal of nomination papers. All were declared elected as no one withdrew their candidature. Among the elected candidates, 48 are Awami League candidates and two are from the Jatiya Party.
