Fifty members, elected to the reserved seats for women, took their oaths in the Jatiya Sangsad's parliamentary chamber on Wednesday (February 28th) afternoon.

The Speaker, Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, initially administered the oath-taking to the forty-eight MPs from the Awami League, followed by two MPs from the opposition party in the next phase.

It is mentioned that the members elected to the reserved seats for women are elected unopposed. Due to the absence of any candidate for the last day of withdrawal of nomination, the Election Commission declared all candidates elected without opposition.

Later, on Tuesday, the gazette for the election results was published. Copies of the gazette were sent from the Election Commission Secretariat to the National Parliament Secretariat.
