Standing Committee Meeting On Finance Ministry Held

The first meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Finance of the 12th Jatiya Sangsad was held today with committee member MA Mannan in the chair at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

Committee members Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, State Minister for Finance Waseqa Ayesha Khan, M Ahmed Firoz Kabir, AKM Selim Osman and Runu Reza attended the meeting, said a press release.

The meeting discussed the scrutiny of the "Offshore Banking Bill, 2024" which was earlier sent by the House to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Finance.

Bangladesh Bank Governor Abdur Rouf Talukder, Financial Institutions Division Secretary Sheikh Mohammad Salim Ullah and other high officials of the Ministry of Finance and Jatiya Sangsad were present, among others, at the meeting._BSS
