Obaidul Quader, the General Secretary of the Awami League, has stated that the government maintains a firm stance on controlling the market. He also mentioned that syndicates will be broken. He made these remarks during a press briefing at the central office of the party at 23 Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Friday (March 15).

Quader emphasized that the country is doing better than many others, though there is turmoil globally. He stressed unity for the well-being of all, domestically and internationally.

He also addressed issues of corruption in transportation, stating that efforts are underway to curb it. However, he did not claim an immediate solution, emphasizing the need for control rather than abrupt cessation.

Regarding the desire for a change in government, Quader suggested that those seeking a change would have to wait for another election rather than dreaming of it daily. The briefing was attended by several organizational leaders, including BM Mozammel Haque, Afzal Hossain, Biplob Barua, Abdul Sobhan Golap, and Sayem Khan etc.
