Fabrics Godown Fire In Demra Under Control: Fire Services

A fire that broke out at a fabrics warehouse of a building in Banga press area of Demra in the capital on Thursday night, was brought under control at 8am today.

"Ten firefighting units worked to bring the blaze under control around 8:00 am today, said Shahjahan Sikder, DAD of Fire service and Civil Defence (media cell).

Members of the Bangladesh Navy also joined to bring the fire under control, according to Sikder.

Earlier in the morning, FSCD Director (Training, Planning and Development) and Incident Commander Lt Col Md Rezaul Karim visited the spot and said the amount of damage can be ascertained after investigation.
