Metrorail services have resumed after a two-hour shutdown due to a power problem caused by a foil paper stuck on the metro's wires.

Today, Sunday (March 31), the situation normalized around 9:30 am.

According to Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) sources, a foil paper got stuck in the Metrorail cable when it started raining with strong gust of wind shortly before 7 am. And because of this Metrorail was closed. Later, the foil paper was removed from it and metro movement was normal again.

Earlier, commuters suffered due to bad weather and suspension of metro rail services.
