Biden Greets Bengali Community On Pahela Baishakh

US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden have greeted the Bengali community celebrating the beginning of the Bengali New Year, Pahela Baishakh.

A post shared on the US president’s accounts across different social media platforms on Sunday reads, “To all those gathering around the world in celebration of Vaisakhi, Navratri, Songkran, and the incoming New Year this week, Jill and I wish you warmth, community, and joy. Happy Bengali, Khmer, Lao, Myanmarese, Nepali, Sinhalese, Tamil, Thai, and Vishu New Year!”

The message managed to spread cheer among the Bengali community living around the world.

Pahela Baishakh, the first day of Bengali New Year 1431, is being celebrated across the country with festivity, upholding the rich cultural values and rituals of the Bangalees.
