Rail Communication With Cox’s Bazar Disrupted As Train Derails

A few coaches of the special train derailed near Dulahazara of Chakaria upazila on the Cox's Bazar-Chittagong rail line. The coaches of the special train derailed near Dulahazara around 10am on Wednesday.

Golam Rabbani, station master of Cox's Bazar Railway Station of Bangladesh Railway, said that the special train was coming from Chittagong to Cox's Bazar. Three coaches of the train derailed as the train approached Dulahazara station.

He said that another rescue train had been dispatched from Chittagong's Pahartali to rescue the derailed railway carriage.

No passenger casualties were reported in this incident.

He said that until the carriage of the derailed train is recovered, the rail communication with Cox's Bazar will be temporarily closed.
