2 Killed As Lorry Ploughs Through Dinajpur Tea Stall

Two people were killed as a lorry ploughed through a roadside tea stall at Hatkhola bazar, Kauga in Dinajpur on Saturday morning. The accident occurred when the driver fell asleep while driving.

The deceased were identified as Azahar Ali, night watchman of Kauga Bazar, son of deceased Azir Hossain of Biswanathpur village, Dinajpur Sadar and Rana of Kauga Hatkhola village.

Local Police said a lorry ploughed through the roadside tea stall in the area as its driver fell asleep while driving and lost control over the steering, leaving the duo dead on the spot.

Farid Hossain, OC of Dinajpur Kotoali Police Station said that two bodies were recovered and sent to Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital. The lorry driver and helper were arrested in this incident.
