Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India stand with Iran in its "time of sorrow". Narendra Modi expressed grief over the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a chopper crash on Sunday, and said that India stand with Iran in its "time of sorrow".

His contribution to strengthening India-Iran bilateral relationship will always be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to his family and the people of Iran.
