Awami League Leader Hacked To Death In Narsingdi

At Bhagirathpur in Sadar upazila of Narsingdi district on Tuesday night a former chairman of Meherpara union was stabbed to death by miscreants. The deceased was identified as Mahbubul Hasan, 40, general secretary of the Meherpara union unit of Awami League.

Quoting witnesses, Mostafizur Rahman, superintendent of Narsingdi Police, said that 7/8 miscreants swooped on Mahbubul around 12:15 am last night and stabbed him indiscriminately with sharp weapons.

The miscreants carried out the attack when Mahbubul along with 8-10 of his followers was returning home from the AL office.

Two more people were injured in the attack as they tried to save the local Awami League leader. They were taken to Sadar Hospital where the doctors declared Mahbubul dead._UNB
