The holidays in educational institutions including Eid-ul-Azha and summer vacation are likely to be shortened this time. The announcement to reduce the 20-day holiday may come next week.

The Ministry of Education and the Directorate Of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) sources informed this.

The sources say that although the Eid holiday this year is ok, the “summer vacation may be reduced”. In that case, the educational institution can open a week before the end of the current vacation. Besides, the decision to resume Saturday weekend may also come after the Eid holidays.

It is learned that this time most of the educational institutions have declared a holiday till July 2. However, many private institutions will return to teaching from June 24. In this situation, instructions may come to open educational institutions on that day or a day earlier or later.

As for the reason, it is said that the classes in the educational institutions are less this time. Besides, if the weekend starts on Saturday, there may be a problem in completing the syllabus. Therefore, the holiday given in combination with Eid and summer may be shortened.
