This afternoon, hundreds of quota reform protesters have gathered at Mirpur 10 roundabout in Dhaka to demonstrate against recent attacks on protesters. The crowd began assembling around 12:00 p.m., and by 1:00 p.m., traffic in the area had come to a halt.
Chanting slogans such as "Why did my brother die?" the protesters remembered the victims of violence during the quota reform movement. Witnesses noted that some individuals were writing various slogans on the road.
The demonstration was focused around a burnt traffic box at the roundabout, with police officers keeping their distance. A student involved in the protest told The Daily Star that there are no other gatherings in Mirpur today and that everyone has been directed to this location for the major assembly.
