The government has ordered the telecom operators to shut down mobile internet or 4G services across the country.
The telecom operators were asked to shut down mobile internet from 12:30 pm on Sunday (August 4).
According to sources of mobile phone operators, they have got directive to shut down 4G services.
People using mobile internet at different spots said around 1 pm that they can not avail 4G services.
The government has also directed that Meta platforms, including Facebook and WhatsApp, be blocked from the country’s broadband internet connections.
As a result, these social media platforms will remain unavailable in the country.
The directive was issued by the government at around 1:30 pm on Sunday.
