India's Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday returned the body of Bangladeshi national Abdullah (35), who they shot dead at the Wahedpur border area in Chapainawabganj three days ago.
The BSF returned the body through Pillar 23 after holding a flag meeting with the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at no man's land near the Joharpurtag border area.
BGB-53 commander lieutenant colonel Monir-uz-Jaman said policemen and representatives from the both sides attended the flag meeting.
Shibganj police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sazzad Hossain said the victim Abdullah and others tried to enter in Indian territory on Sunday through the border. Meanwhile, BSF members opened fire leaving Abdullah dead on the spot.
