Interim Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus stated that projects taken with political motives will be reevaluated. There is now a need to focus more on the areas affected by the floods.

He made this statement during the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) after the fall of the Awami League government.

The meeting, held for the first time at Tejgaon under the Chief Advisor's chairmanship, took place on Wednesday, September 18.

The Chief Advisor said that from now on, all project information will be made public. The council members have agreed to prioritize smaller, people-centric projects rather than mega projects.

Dr. Muhammad Yunus emphasized the need to reconsider projects undertaken for political reasons. He also mentioned that mega projects would be excluded and that work should be carried out impartially and independently. All details of project planning and implementation will be transparent. It will not be known only to the Project Director (PD), but to everyone. Moving forward, the focus will be on smaller, people-important projects rather than large-scale ones.
