Google Introduces Image Generation || Photo: Collected
Until now, creating images with AI (Artificial Intelligence) required users to visit specific sites and input commands to generate them. Recently, Google announced that users can now generate images directly from the standard search bar through their Search Generated Experience (SGE).
According to the tech news outlet Engadget, SGE represents Google’s vision for the future of searching. Instead of providing a list of web links, it will deliver relevant answers based on user language.
A recent advancement in this experience allows users to receive generated images instead of just text. When users input a command for an image, Google generates and displays four images. Users can then download their preferred image to their drive or device.
However, this feature comes with some limitations. Users need to sign up for Google Labs and select SGE. Currently, this new feature is available only in the United States, for English-speaking users aged 18 and over. Additionally, to prevent misuse, photorealistic images of human faces cannot be generated through this feature.
