Three members of a family were shot down allegedly by unidentified individuals at a Rohingya camp in Ukhiya upazila of Cox's Bazar early Monday (October 21).

The deceased were known as Ahmed Hossain, 60, his son Syedul Amin, 28, and daughter Asma, 13.

Commander of 14-Armed Police Battalion (APBn) and Additional DIG MD Iqbal confirmed the matter.

15-20 unknown assailants stormed the block and opened fire, killing two people on the spot. Asma, initially wounded, was taken to the camp hospital but died en route to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital, said APBn commander.
