Jashore Board Sees Record 66,000 Applications Challenging HSC Result

This year, the Jashore Board has received 66,000 applications challenging the HSC examination results.

Many candidates were unable to accept the announced results, leading to a significant number of students applying for reevaluation of their answer scripts. More than half of the applications were for English subjects.

This year marks the highest number of applications received since the establishment of the Jashore Board, with the majority concerning the two English papers.

It is noteworthy that the Jashore Board ranked seventh among the eight general boards in the country regarding HSC examination results, with an overall pass rate of 64.29%. A total of 122,511 candidates participated in the HSC exams under the Jashore Board, of which 78,764 passed. This year, 31% of students failed in English.

Professor Marzina Akhtar, Chairman of the Jashore Board, stated that students applied for reevaluation because they were not satisfied with their results. The deadline for reevaluation applications has already passed, and the results of the re-evaluation will be announced within a month.
