Bangladeshi cricketers go on first-ever strike

Bangladesh top cricketers on Monday announced that they will abstain from all cricket-related activities until their 11-point demand, including salary hike, is met by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

The cricketers made the announcement at a press conference at the National Cricket Academy Ground in the city, reports UNB.

Bangladesh Test and T20 captain Shakib Al Hasan placed the demands of the cricketers at the press conference.

Besides, Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudllah Riyad, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Arafat Sunny, Junaid Siddique, Enamul Haque Jnr, Taskin Ahmed, Elias Sunny, Farhad Reza, and some other cricketers were presented at the press conference.

BCB faces such protests by the country’s cricketers in its cricket history.
