BCB announces women’s squad for SA Games

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 15-member women’s cricket squad for the 13th South Asian (SA) Games scheduled to be held from December 1 to 10 in Nepal.

Bangladesh women’s T20 captain Salma Khatun will lead the squad.

Bangladesh have been placed in the three-team 'Group B' along with Pakistan and Maldives while the four-team 'Group A' comprises of India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Nepal.

Bangladesh will play against Maldives on December 2 and Pakistan on December 5, both at the Pokhara Rangasala stadium there.

The top two teams from each of the groups will play semi-finals on December 7. The final will be held on December 9.

The 15-member Bangladesh women’s team: Salma Khatun (C), Nigar Sultana Joty (Wk), Jahanara Alam, Ayesha Rahman, Farjana Haque Pinki, Murshida Khatun, Sanjida Islam, Shobnam Mostary, Fahima Khatun, Shamima Sultana (Wk), Nahida Akhter, Kadija-Tu-Kubra, Mst Ritu Moni, Puja Chakravorty, Rabeya.
