Considerably a good day for Bangladesh as the hosts managed to score 240 runs for the loss of three wickets before day 2 stumps after bundling out Zimbabwe for 265 early on the second day of the lone Test between the two sides at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur today.

Opener Tamim Iqbal gave a good start to the Tigers as the left-hander strung a 78-run stand with Nazmul Hossain Shanto after Saif Hasan departed early.

Tamim fell in the 30th over after scoring 41 but Shanto went on to pick up his fifty. However, Shanto too fell in the 50th over after a 139-ball 79 and a 76-run stand with skipper Mominul Haque.

After that, Mominul and Mushfiqur batted through the day with the former remaining unbeaten on 79 and Mushfiqur remaining unbeaten on 32.

Earlier, Abu Jayed and Taijul Islam picked up two wickets each on the day to get Zimbabwe bundled out for a modest score after the visitors started the day at 228 for six.
