BFF Signs New Contract with Jamie Day

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) signed a fresh agreement with Bangladesh national football team head coach Jamie Day to extend his term of office for more than two years.

The coach, who is currently in England, today announced the news through a video message. His previous agreement expired on 15 May.

Although everything was almost settled to make a new deal with head coach Jamie Day, Bangladesh has a clear reason to worry as the national team will have no coach until August 16. As a result, Jamal Bhuiyan & Co. has to wait more than two and a half months to start their practice.

Jamie Day, head coach of the National Team, ended his second term of office on 15 May 2020 after leading Bangladesh.

Both Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and the English coach, meanwhile, have agreed on the new agreement which is likely to be struck with effect from mid-August.

As the ongoing pandemic COVID-19 has forced the suspension of all the activities of the country's sports arena and the situation is getting worse, the BFF has not renewed its agreement with Jamie Day immediately after the end of its term of office.

Jamie took the charge of the Bangladesh team back in June 2018.
