Bangladesh’s Tour of Sri Lanka Postponed

Just a day after the postponement of Bangladesh's home series against New Zealand, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) decided to postpone the upcoming Sri Lankan tour of Tigers, SLC confirmed in a media release.

"Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to announce that the Bangladesh Cricket Board has informed SLC that the favorable environment for its players to participate in the international cricket series has not yet arrived, purely due to the lack of preparation for its players caused by the COVID – 19 pandemic," said the SLC media release today.

Sri Lanka and Bangladesh were due to play a three-game test series in July under the ICC World Test Championship. The show has been deferred to a 'mutually agreed later date,' the press release announced.
