3 Persons including Nasir, Tamima Asked to Appear before Court Oct 31

Three persons, including cricketer Nasir Hossain and Tamima Sultana Tammi, were summoned to court today in Dhaka.

Sumi Aktar, Tamima's mother, is another person.

Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Md Jashim issued the decision on Thursday (September 30).

Earlier, the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) said in a report released today that it had verified the veracity of Tamima Sultana's former spouse Rakib Hasan's assertion that Tamima married the cricketer before divorcing him.

Later, plaintiff's lawyer Ishrat Hasan filed a application with the court to have Nasir Hossain, his wife Tamima Sultana Tammi, and Tamima's mother Sumi Aktar arrested.

Tamima married Rakib Hasan on February 26, 2011 and they had a daughter, according to the case statement. Tamima was then accused of marrying cricketer Nasir without first divorcing her spouse Rakib Hasan.

On February 24, Tamima's husband, Rakib Hasan, filed a lawsuit against her.
