Bangladesh will face Saudi Arabia tomorrow in the final
match of Group D of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers. Maruful Haque's team is
in backfoot after losing their first two matches.
The match will start at the Tsar Stadium in Uzbekistan on
Tuesday (October 2) at 4 pm Bangladesh time.
The champions of 11 selected groups and the best 4
runners-up teams will play in the main round. Kuwait has confirmed to play in
the main stage by winning two matches from Bangladesh's Group D.
Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia have a chance to become one of
the top 4 runners-up and make it to the main stage. Bangladesh has no choice
but to beat Saudi Arabia to meet the target.
Head coach Maruful Haque is optimistic about losing to Saudi
Arabia, saying, "We have come to this tournament to play in the main draw.
Saudi Arabia is a very strong team. We will still play to win.'
