Shakib Al Hasan climbed to number one in the ICC rankings released last week. But he could not hold that place for a week as he has slipped to number two in a week.

Shakib Al Hasan was the number one all-rounder in T20 cricket with 282 rating points. Mohammad Nabi, Afghanistan's all-rounder, topped the newly released rankings with 271 points. Shakib's rating point is also 271. But the Afghan captain is ahead as a fraction.

The Afghan all-rounder's superb performance in this World Cup Super-Twelve has taken him to the top position. He played great innings of 35 runs in the batting disaster against Pakistan and took the wicket of Fakhar Zaman, the batsman in Pakistan's marquee. The right-handed batsman also scored a great 32 off 17 balls with Namibia.

On the other hand, Shakib has performed well in the first three matches of the World Cup with bat and ball. Performance in Super Twelve did not live up to expectations. The Tiger all-rounder was ruled out of the World Cup after suffering an injury against the West Indies.
