Bangladesh One Day International captain Tamim Iqbal was dismissed by Zimbabwe's Tanaka Chivanga after the opener reached his 55th half-century in ODI on Sunday at Harare Sports Club Ground, reports BSS.
Tamim opened the innings with Anamul Haque in the second ODI of the three-match series after Zimbabwe won the toss and decided to field first.
The left-handed opener reached his half-century in 43 balls, hitting 10 fours and a six. But soon after completing his fifty, Tamim got out by mistiming a pull shot which produced a simple catch to the square-leg fielder.
The other opener, Anamul might be finding him unlucky as a straight drive from Nazmul Hossain hit the stumps where Chivanga had a slight touch on the ball. He was out in a misfortunate way after scoring 20 runs.
After 13 overs, Bangladesh were 77-2, with Mushfiqur Rahim (0*) and Nazmul Hossain (5*) on the middle.
