Pakistan have won the toss and decided to field first against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2022 final at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The match will start at 8pm (BST). BTV, GTV and Nagorik TV will broadcast live.

The batting from Pakistan has wobbled in the last couple of games. They were rescued by Naseem Shah's back-to-back sixes against Afghanistan, before coming a cropper against Sri Lanka. They generally take a different approach to Sri Lanka and look to build a platform before unleashing in the last few overs. And Babar Azam's form hasn't helped with that. Will the captain turn it around today on what looks like a good pitch?

In the group stage of the tournament, both the teams lost one game out of three and in the Super 4 stage, they paved their way into the final after defeating India and Afghanistan. Recently on Friday, Sri Lanka thrashed Pakistan by five wickets in the last Super 4 match.

Since the emergence of the Asia Cup in 1984, Sri Lanka have won the title five times, while Pakistan have claimed it twice. It will be interesting to see which side will prevail over the other to claim the ultimate title.

Pakistan: Babar Azam (capt), Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Fakhar Zaman, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Shadab Khan, Asif Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Hasnain.

Sri Lanka: Kusal Mendis (wk), Pathum Nissanka, Dhananjaya de Silva, Danushka Gunathilaka, Dasun Shanaka (capt), Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Chamika Karunaratne, Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Pramod Madushan, Dilshan Madushanka
