Shams Ul Huda Academy's Swadhin Receives Invitation to Argentine Club

Jashore's Shams Ul Huda Football Academy is becoming a breeding ground for talented and apt players. The footballers of this academy are attracting the attention of various clubs in the country and abroad. Recently, the young football player of the academy, Minhajul Karim Swadhin, was invited by the third-division team of Argentina, Athletico Villa San Carlos Club.

According to Shams Ul Huda Academy sources, Swadhin has been given a formal offer to train with the San Carlos club. He must join the Argentine club by August 15.

Swadhin's contact with the San Carlos club is through Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi club trainer Ariel Coleman. He is an Argentinian. Coleman visited Shams Ul Huda Football Academy. He was impressed by the game of Swadhin. The video he sent on his initiative caught the attention of San Carlos club officials.

Hafizur Rahman got the opportunity to train with England's famous Manchester United in 2013 from Shams Ul Huda Academy. In 2022, Nayan Hossain of Jashore's Bagharpara got an opportunity to practice with the Sociedad Sportivo de Gama club in Brazil. He is also a footballer trained by Shams Ul Huda Academy.

Swadhin is a familiar face age-level football. Played in 2022 with Bangladesh Premier League youth team for the champion Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi club in BAFF under-18 league. Five footballers from Shams Ul Huda Football Academy are expected to be registered in Sheikh Jamal's main team next season. One of them is Swadhin. He played for the traditional Dhaka Wanderers in Bangladesh Champions League in 2021. He caught everyone's attention by scoring six goals and eight assists.

In 2018, Dhaka Abahani Krira Chakra Limited won the under-18 club football championship. Nine footballers from Shams ul Huda Football Academy played for Abahani in that event, one of whom is Swadhin. It can be said that Jashore's Shams ul Huda Football Academy won the youth club football title in Abahani's jersey.

Swadhin played for Bangladesh in the U-14 Super Mokh Cup held in Malaysia in 2016 and was a part of the U-15 SAFF team organized in Nepal in 2017. He played in AFC U-16 tournament held in Qatar in 2018.

Swadhin is naturally excited to receive a call-up from an Argentinian club. He says the whole thing seems like a dream to him. I myself have been a fan of Argentina and Lionel Messi since childhood. I will go to practice soccer in Argentina, which could be a bigger find than that. I am thankful to the academy authorities.

Swadhin's father, retired sergeant Fazlul Karim, himself played football for the army team. Encouraged by his father, he dreams of becoming a big footballer. He also expressed his gratitude to Shams ul Huda Football Academy officials and coach Kazi Maruf.

Shams Ul Huda Football Academy of Jashore started its journey in 2011 as an individual initiative. Md. Nasser Shahrear Zahedee, the chairman of Radiant Pharmaceuticals Limited, is the founding president of the institution. Kazi Maruf has been associated with this organization since the beginning. He is the main craftsman and head coach of the academy's footballers.

The beloved master of the academy students, Kazi Maruf, said, "My student Hafizur had the opportunity to train as an Airtel Rising Star in England and Nayan in Brazil. Swadhin is the first footballer from Bangladesh to go for training in Argentina. If he comes home after training and maintains consistency, then he will be a big player." 

It should be noted that in the 2022 World Cup, Bangladesh's football lovers' craze for Argentina caught the attention of the world media. Argentinean football officials also became interested in Bangladeshi football. Bangladesh's government has already signed an agreement with Argentina regarding cooperation in the field of football. As part of the deal, Bangladesh's emerging footballers will be given the opportunity to train in Argentina. And being lucky, Minhajul Karim of Shams ul Huda Football Academy is getting the first chance.
