Shakib Al Hasan Faces Legal Notice To Return from Pakistan Tour

Shakib Al Hasan is currently playing in the first Test of the series against Pakistan for the national team. However, he has been subject to a legal notice to return to Bangladesh, sent to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). The legal action is due to a murder case against Shakib.

Last Friday, a case was filed against Shakib as an instigator in the murder of garment worker Rubel. However, Shakib is listed as number 28 among 156 accused, with former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina being the principal defendant.

The legal notice to return Shakib to Bangladesh was issued by Supreme Court lawyer Sajib Mahmood Alam.

Regarding the notice given to the BCB, the lawyer said, “A criminal case has been recorded against him. According to ICC regulations, he cannot remain in the national cricket team. Therefore, he needs to be removed from the team immediately.”
