The Kanpur Test was disrupted for nearly two and a half days due to rain, leading many to believe that the match would end in a draw. However, in a dramatic turn over the last two days, Rohit Sharma's team delivered a performance that overshadowed England's 'Bazball' style, leading to a comprehensive defeat for Bangladesh. As a result, Bangladesh was whitewashed in the Test series.

After two consecutive days of rain, play finally resumed on the fourth day, with Bangladesh being bowled out for 233 runs. In response, India played aggressively, declaring their innings at 285 runs after losing 9 wickets in just 35 overs, gaining a lead of 52 runs.

In their second innings, Bangladesh was dismissed for 146 runs, setting a modest target of 95 runs for the hosts. India chased down the target with ease, finishing the match in one session with 7 wickets remaining, thereby clinching the series 2-0.

India's chase started poorly, with Rohit Sharma dismissed for 8 runs off 7 balls. Shubman Gill followed suit, falling for 6 runs off 10 balls, giving Miraj his second wicket. However, Virat Kohli steadied the innings alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Ultimately, Jaiswal scored 51 runs off 45 balls before being dismissed, while Kohli remained unbeaten on 29 runs, guiding India to victory with one session and 7 wickets in hand. Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin each took three wickets in the second innings, while Akash Deep contributed with one wicket.
