The Chief Advisor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has felicitated the SAFF-winning women's football team. The meet and greet took place today, Saturday (November 2), at 11:00 AM at the state guest house, Jamuna. The victorious Bangladesh women's football team entered Jamuna at 10:30 AM.
After winning the SAFF Women's Championship 2024 in Nepal, the Bangladesh women's football team returned home on Thursday. Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan eagerly awaited the SAFF champions at the BFF headquarters from 5:30 PM to welcome the players. The team arrived at the BFF headquarters around 7:00 PM, after a three-hour journey from the airport in an open-top bus, which started at 4:00 PM.
Upon their arrival, the youth and sports advisor welcomed the players with flowers. Ministry officials were also present at the event. After the welcome, Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan announced a financial reward on behalf of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, offering a total of 10 million BDT (1 crore) to the victorious team. The youth and sports advisor handed over the prize check to the team captain, Sabina Khatun, on the spot.
Ministry officials were present during the event.
