The Under-19 Asia Cup is set to kick off later this month, with the tournament scheduled to take place in the One-Day International (ODI) format. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has released the full schedule for the tournament, which will begin on November 29 in the United Arab Emirates.
A total of 8 teams will participate, divided into two groups. Bangladesh's youth team has been placed in Group 'B' alongside Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.
Meanwhile, in Group 'A', archrivals India and Pakistan will face off, with Japan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) also in the group.
Bangladesh will play their opening match on the very first day of the tournament against Afghanistan. Their second match will be against Nepal on December 1, and the final group-stage match will be against Sri Lanka on December 3.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals, which will take place on December 6. The final will be held on December 8, one day after the semifinals.
It is worth mentioning that Bangladesh is the defending champion of the Under-19 Asia Cup. Last year, they won the title by defeating the United Arab Emirates in the final, with Mahfuzur Rahman Rabby's team lifting the trophy.
