Mobile Users May Face Service Disruption Tonight: BTRC

Users of telecom providers in Bangladesh may face some difficulty using mobile networks tonight from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) said.

The disruption may happen as the telecom regulator will rearrange the spectrum among the operators within this time, Zakir Hossain Khan, deputy director of the media wing at BTRC, said.

Hoping that they will be able to complete the task by 6:00 am, he said the users may face difficulty in making phone calls and internet speed for eight hours tonight.

Earlier on March 31, the BTRC disclosed the information of such a disruption to happen in two phases on April 1 and April 7.
